Wrap-up of the 2026 Fundraising Drive
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation and thanks for your support. Because of the participation and generosity of many, the Foundation was able to invest a total of $28,750.00 to assist twenty-three (23) aspiring students through scholarships. Since 2005, the Foundation has awarded $382,150.00 in scholarships to 350 deserving students.
Your investment in the Foundation's efforts is allowing twenty-three (23) aspiring students to continue their educational endeavors at an institution of higher learning. Again, I want to personally thank you for investing in our Nation's future, which is our youth. The 2026 scholarship recipients are our future leaders.
As a friendly reminder, the Rev. Dr. A. W. Watkins Scholarship Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. Therefore, your donations are tax deductible for 2026. One hundred percent (100%) of your donation goes to the Foundation for scholarships. If you could not participate during this year's fundraising drive and wish to provide a donation / contribution or make an additional donation / contribution, please do so before December 30, 2026, through our website https://revdrawwatkins.org. or you can mail your check to the mailing address below. If you wish to transfer stock, you may do so through the Foundation Brokerage Account via Regions Investment Solutions, Account # 3RN-95812, DTC # 0701. Our goal for the 2027 fundraising drive is to award the same amount of scholarship funds as this year or even more through generous donations like yours.
